General Submission Guidelines

Please Note: All guidelines are subject to editor discretion. All submissions are subject to editor approval.

• Tasteful depictions of sex acts are accepted, but we prefer mild erotica, not pornographic stories. This is subject to our (open minded) editorial staff interpretation.
• No hateful, racial, derogatory, pornographic material will be accepted. This also goes towards descriptions of sex acts involving children and animals.
• Sex positive pieces depicting sexual acts between consenting adults is encouraged.
• The submission you send to Pink Nighties must be your own. You cannot submit the work of others.
• By submitting to Pink Nighties, you give us your permission to publish your item both on-line for the edition you are submitting for as well as possible print anthologies. Your item may also be “read” as part of a Pink Nighties Podcast. You do retain your copyright.
• No anonymous submissions are allowed, however a suitable pen name may be used.
• An e-mail address must accompany all work. Your email will not be shared with any third parties; it is merely used to communicate with you regarding your submissions.
• Submissions may not be published in their entirety anywhere else. If you wish to publish a blurb or tease on your site to entice people over to your published Pink Nighties work that is fine.
• Please proof-read your submission thoroughly and spell-check.
• Please include a brief bio with your submission. You are welcome to include an image, such as a photo or other tasteful image.

Specific Section Information

• Fiction. Fiction includes: short stories, serials, and poetry. Short story submissions should be a maximum of 5,000 words, but Flash fiction and shorter pieces strongly encouraged. We are also looking for writers interesting in submitting serial pieces. On serial pieces, we require at least two parts of your serial.
• Non-Fiction. Non-Fiction includes: articles on sexuality, interviews, etc. We like body positive pieces and enjoy learning about things that have always made us wonder.
• Opinions. “Opinions” includes: editorial columns, reviews, etc. We are looking for open minded and positive columnists from all walks of life, regardless of age, sex, or sexual orientation.
